With my intense work schedule, many trips and without having a stabilized routine, I like to take a night to do what I call, SPA DAY. Having a special moment just for me, to take care of myself, makes this day-to-day rush a little lighter. After all, it is always good to reserve these moments of self-care to recharge our energies, don’t you think?

In this self-care routine I always make it a point to take a very relaxing bubble bath, I do a facial mask and I take this time to wash my hair and do an intense hydration for the strands, which suffers a lot with hairdryer, flat iron and curler on a daily basis. For this, I have loved using the new Pantene line called: The Castor Oil Collection, which was created especially to protect and repair damaged hair. Castor oil, is rich in vitamin E and is a natural moisturizer that strengthens and leaves the hair silky. My hair is very fine, so it gets dry easily and this line has helped me a lot to bring the hair back to life.

This collection is free of sulfates, parabens, dyes and mineral oils and consists of 3 products: the Shampoo that can be used regularly to clean, strengthen and protect hair; the Conditioner that nourishes and restores the hair leaving it with a silky shine; and the Night Repair Serum, perfect to use before bed on days when the hair is looking drier. Moreover, it is a fast absorption serum that repairs overworked hair, restoring the health and shine of the strands. I love to use it after those event days when I used the flat or curling iron a lot. It really gives another life to the strands!

And of course, besides the hair, I take advantage of this moment to exfoliate my body and finish off with a complete facial routine.

I started looking for references to see if I would get excited about this trend and of course I fell in love and can say I’m already looking forward to putting together a look with a thin headband. After all, there is nothing better than when something comes back in style to help us innovate our overall outfit and break the bad hair day, wouldn’t you agree ?!

Be it with the hair up or down, the cool thing about these headbands is that they automatically give a more feminine look to the ensemble, so my tip is to bet on the contrast, maybe playing with a heavier makeup or even a more laid-back look.

There’s nothing to cheer me up more than a hair accessory trend, after all, nothing better than a trend that allow us to get out of the ordinary and help us give that oomph to the look, right?! And the accessories of the moment are the scrunchies – for those who never heard, the accessory is nothing more than a hair elastic covered by fabric that was very popular in the 80s and 90s and now has returned with full force to the fashion scene and has made huge success among the most attuned girls in the world of fashion.

Here the rule is simple, whether in a ponytail, in a half up half down or a bun,  it’s worth betting on your preferred style color while leaving your look with a more fun and cool touch at the same time. Check out a few  beautiful inspirations I found on the internet:

Those who follow me on Instagram must have noticed that I am super adept with this trend and love to combine the scrunchies with lighter looks, which allow me to play with the hi-lo between the pieces and give that beauty trick on bad hair days! Haha! I love it!

Starting with the traditional bun, the simplest the one that leaves a more serious vibe in the ensemble. Theres no secret to this hairstyle, but leaves the look beautiful and elegant. If you want you can even leave a few side hair strands loose to give an extra charm.

The low bun  that only a few people bet on, however it is also super easy to reproduce and you can enjoy using it in two ways: a more formal and chic, with the front hair strands pulled back and a very firm bun at the nape of the neck or with some hair loose at the front to ensure a more bare vibe and a slightly looser bun. It’s also worth leaving the bun more to the side and escape the traditional way!

The messy bun is my favorite and as its name says, just make a good messy bun on the top of the head. To create this messy effect bet on texturizers before securing the hair. It looks beautiful! What I like the most is to use this type of hairstyle with a more formal look and thus create a perfect hi-low. Worth a try!

The double bun is a little more difficult to wear, but is beautiful and leaves the look with a fun and cool vibe. Be it lower or on top of the head, this is always a great option to escape the basics!

The scarves are super in right now, so why not take advantage of the trend and make your bun even more charming. It is worth using any type of bun for a more fun style, leave the ends of the scarf loose.

It’s time to get the hair accessories out of the drawerS. Everything that looks like “old-fashioned” came back full force in 2019. The bulky hair of the 80s, the tic-tacs of the 1990s and sports hats … Now, watch for the return of the mini hair clips, headbands and tiaras. Some are thin, others thicker, leather, plastic or fabric. On the runways, brands like Miu Miu and Prada always explore pieces adorned with glitter, whether delicate or striking. The first invested in the version covered by crystals. As for Miuccia Prada, the model is maxi and bulky, contrasting white with tacking applications for her young rebel Summer 2019 collection. On the streets, fashionistas are already showing off their modern pieces. Camila bet on a wide velvet tiara version with structure that stands out on the hair, which has the biggest retro and girlie vibe. Meanwhile, I went for a flower shaped clasp to fasten the bun. It is such an indispensable item for those who feel the need to give an innovated touch to the look throughout the day.

In the case of metallic clasps with delicate formats, sophisticated and super desirable options. Chanel took the snowflakes, which were part of the theme of the season (with a snow and mountain cottage setting), to the hair in such a cool way! As for Paco Rabanne, two small floral loops held the braids on top of the head, giving a hint of romanticism and refinement.

Last but not least, accessories that go beyond the tranditional shape. Both Christian Siriano and Area created incredible items. While the first one fastened strands in long chains, the second presented a kind of turban, but this time, made of rhinestones. Two ideal accessories for casting off nightly ensembles and give that dash of boldness in the right measure. Because standing out is one of the great secrets of the latest and upcoming seasons.
