Fall Beauty Trend: Pastel Nails

While pastel colors are usually reserved for spring and not typically associated with fall, this year that’s all changing. Fall 2019 nail trends are leaning heavily into pastels of all shades. This is a welcome change from your typical fall palette of maroon, deep burgundy, taupe, and even black.

Taking their place this season are colors like baby yellow, amethyst blue, pale pink, and pistachio green. These hues bring an unexpected twist to your manicure and brighten up a darker fall wardrobe.

Beloved nail brands are doing beautiful pastel polishes across the board right now. Essie’s “Home Grown” is a beautiful golden peach color, while their “Hay There” is a cute baby yellow. OPI has shades like “Let’s Be Friends” which is a soft pink, “I Am What I Amethyst” which is an ultra-light blue, and “Zen Garden” which is a bright pistachio. Regardless of which color you choose, you can’t go wrong with a soft pastel hue this season.

Fashion Month Beauty Trend: Bold Eyes

With fashion month winding down (Paris is the last stop this week), we can safely call out the major trends we’ve seen come down the runways the past few weeks. We can already tell platform shoes and large tote bags are going to be huge trends in the fashion world for spring, but fashion month has also taught us about the major beauty trends we’re going to see next season.

One of the biggest beauty trends of fashion month is bold, colorful eyes. From neon eyeliner to watercolor eyeshadow to rhinestone eyelids, next spring is going to be all about the eyes. This is a nice change from the no-makeup makeup that’s been trending for the past few seasons, with shades of nude and bronze being the only colors used in most beauty looks.

If you’re ready to take on this trend yourself, colorful eyeshadow and bold eyeliner are the easiest ways to test out the eye-focused look. Pat McGrath also has a gorgeous glitter eyeshadow collection, full of bright hues that really make a statement.
