Hair color trends for 2025 promise to be bold and vibrant! From Mocha Mousse (Pantone’s color of the year) to the classic Strawberry Blonde, here are 4 shades of color that promise to be a hit this season.

1. Mocha Mousse

Mocha Mousse is the bet for 2025 and mixes nuances of deep brown with touches of a soft, grayish brown. “I believe that the success of this color lies in its versatility and its ability to enhance the luminosity of the hair, creating a soft, illuminated effect. In addition, Mocha Mousse is an ideal option for those who want to change their look without resorting to very daring shades either,” says Fabiane Paulin, a specialist at Pelle Capelli.

2. Butter Blonde

Butter Blonde is already a classic and stands out, for yet another year, thanks to its warm and soft tone, which mixes gold with a buttery touch, but without exaggeration. “The success of this blonde is due to its ability to adapt to different skin types, enhancing natural beauty”, adds Paulin.

3. Strawberry Blonde

Photo: @marinaruybarbosa

Strawberry Blonde is a shade that is reminiscent of a more natural red and has hints of soft red, “which illuminates the face in a modern and refreshing way, but at the same time brings that classic and elegant touch,” says Fabiane, who also stresses that hair care is more intense for those who prefer this shade, as it fades more easily.

4. Cherry Cola

“Cherry Cola is a bold idea. A more intense shade of red with brown tones creating a striking effect,” says the expert. Paulin also points out that the success of this color is due to its ability to enhance different skin tones and the modern appeal it offers to hair. In addition, Cherry Cola is seen as a versatile option, easy to maintain and that provides a luxurious shine, making it a popular choice for this year.

So, which of the 4 hair color trends are you going to try in 2025?

2024 started full of new fashion and beauty trends! Which ones do you intend to adapt to include in your routine and style?

When it comes to cuts and coloring, expert Rudi Werner comments on the biggest haircut and color trends that will be popular among women and in requests made to hairdressers in beauty salons.

BIXIE

Photo@alarissanobre

The Bixie cut is a fusion of the classic and the modern, mixing techniques from the bob and the pixie. Therefore, the length of this short cut brings more comfort and elegance, providing freshness and practicality.

SHAGGY HAIR

Light and loose, the Shaggy Haircut has long strands in neat layers that create a natural movement effect. To complement the look, the timeless and classic “Bardot fringe” brings a touch of boldness and modernity to the cut.

PEARL BLONDE

Pearl Blonde represents the luminous effects of spring/summer. This luminosity is translated into a blonde with little contrast in light tones and mixtures of warm and cold. The cut highlights this effect even more, ensuring shine and naturalness.

So, which trend are you most excited about?

Hair accessories are super versatile items, since they work in different hairstyles, embellish the strands and can even boost a complete look! From streetstyle to haute couture – and even in the last fashion weeks of 2023, let’s see how hair accessories are showing up (and booming) out there!

Sleek hair

For those who love a minimalist hairstyle, get ready to wear a trend directly with Y2K vibes, straight from the 2000s. of the hair, securing them with very thin rubber bands (which don’t even show) in a spiky bun or a ponytail – always with a few strands of the bangs loose in front. To make sure the hairs at the root don’t move out of place, you can apply a hair gel or hairspray.

Hair Clips

Metallic hair accessories are on the rise, especially when it comes to hair clips. And if this classic accessory appeared in quantity in our hairstyles when we were children, now they dominate the entire root of the hair and appear in the “messy” style, in different positions all over the head.

Bows

This season, bows appear in different sizes, sometimes made with a scarf tied directly to the hair or even glued to a clip. Delicate and available in different fabrics, colors and prints, this accessory makes any outfit more feminine.

Bobby pins

Photo: niinasecrets

Bobby pins are also on the rise! Whether it’s the classic black and thin model or pearls and rhinestones, get ready to wear several bobby pins on the side of the head, either to tame those more rebellious locks on bad hair days, or just to decorate the strands and create a stylish look.

Rhinestones

Photo: marcelatumass

The rhinestones in the hair went viral during Brazilian Carnaval, music festivals and even on the international runways, on loose or tied hair, dry or with a wet effect made with gel. You can glue the stones punctually or spread them over the entire length of the strands, bringing a stylish, modern and fun touch at the same time.

So, which accessories and hairstyles did you like the most? And which ones would you not wear?

Rain or shine, keeping your bangs flawless can be a daily challenge. Also, clean, out of place, dry or even oily, this part of the hair makes all the difference on the face, highlighting the region. Therefore, with a few simple tricks, it is possible to leave your hair always beautiful, clean and with the strands in the place you want. Check it out!

Maintenance: unlike cutting the length of the hair, bangs require more frequent maintenance, which can be done every 30 or 60 days, since the strands “lose” the cut due to accelerated growth.

Cleaning: again, unlike the length of the hair, the bangs are more exposed to sweat and the skin’s natural oils, so you’ll have to wash these strands more frequently, like every one or two days. For a quicker fix, you can opt for the classic dry shampoo.

Hydration: bangs also calls for a weekly moisturizing mask, in order to avoid dryness and split ends. But do not apply too much product and much less close to the roots, thus preventing the hair from becoming oily and heavy. The same goes for the amount of other creams, conditioners and leave-ins applied, so remember: less is more.

How to dry: after protecting your bangs with a good thermal protector (with 90% dry hair), if you wear your hair to the side, dry them in both directions (with the help of a brush), the direction of growth and the opposite direction, in order to achieve a more natural finish. For the classic straight bangs, it is also worth brushing it on both sides and then downwards. This helps prevent the strands from sticking to the forehead.

PS: If you have curly hair, either type 2, 3, or 4, you can use a combing cream to do the styling. Also, the curly bangs can be finished along with the rest of the hair and you can let it dry naturally or use a curl diffuser.

Finalize with a flat iron: with the bangs 100% dry and properly protected with a thermal protector, separate the strands into thin strands and move the iron from root to tip. When you reach the tips, turn the iron outward or inward, according to the desired finish and your bang style.

No time to fix your bangs? Go for accessories! You can pull your bangs back and secure them with a tiara or hair clips.

So, how do you usually take care of your bangs?

Who loves a practical beauty routine? Or are you still that person who only has a few minutes to get ready, but can’t help taking care of yourself and do a hairstyle to face the day?

Photo: Pexels

With that in mind, check out some hairstyles that are practical and quick to do, but still change the look and guarantee a touch of style, in addition to making all the difference in the whole look.

Photo: Pexels

Photo: Pexels

Instead of doing the classic bun by twisting a single strand, you can separate your hair into several strands and twist them until they form a sort of labyrinth bun – not on top of the head, but on the back of it! In addition, to give extra charm and elegance to the strands, you can also loosen some strands in the front, bringing lightness to the face.

Photo: Pexels

If you love braids, but want to try something different and not pin all your hair, the idea here is to separate just a medium strand on the side of the head and build the bangs around it (just like in the photo). The rest of the hair is left loose, but with a special detail of the bangs around the head.

Photo: Pexels

Don’t know how to braid? No problem! Separate some strands (starting from the top of the head) and secure them with a thin elastic band (like those silicone ones, you know?). Give a distance of about three or four fingers and repeat, until you do this through all the hair. Then just slightly spread the hair between one elastic and another, forming a certain volume between the strands.

So, which hairstyle are you going to try first?

We still have one more month to enjoy the hottest season of the year, and of course, the fashion and beauty trends of this season. And when it comes to hair, summer is an expert in trends that bring extra care, modernity, and a lot of practicality when taking care of your hair.

Photo: @lauraharrier

Photo: @lauraharrier

And when it comes to the cut, people usually take advantage of the summer to radicalize in the length, and this time, Bob Botticelli is the request of the time. That’s because, this “beach style” cut minimizes the use of hot tools, due to its length just below the chin, and also forms light and loose waves, Renaissance style.

Photo: @riawna

Photo: @kristenanniebell

To keep your Bob Botticelli alive and in place, the idea is to use products before bed, which guarantee high hydration power and more volume at the same time – from root to tip! Now, to conquer the soft waves, forget about the curling iron. For that, bet on mousses!

Photo: @riawna

Photo: @kristenanniebell

Then just do a classic quick braid before bed and voilà: in the morning let your hair down, run your fingers through it (almost as if you were combing the strands) and the natural waves with a touch of volume are revealed.

Simple, practical, and equally stylish, right? Who will risk this short and modern haircut?

When bleaching the hair, the natural color pigment is removed, causing nutrients, lipids, and other components to be removed, leaving the strands sensitive, fragile, and dry. For this reason, it is important to reinforce at home treatments and at the salon.

Photo: @sydney_sweeney

To take care of bleached hair it is essential to follow a hair care schedule for hydration, nutrition, and reconstruction of the strands. These treatments avoid the yellowish blonde and restore the life of the hair strands.

Hair that is bleached become very damaged, since this chemical acts directly on the hair fiber and opens the hair cuticles, removing all the pigment inside. With the cuticles open, nutrients, lipids, and the mass of the hair fiber end up also going away.

Photo: @maneaddicts

Avoid excessive use of heat tools, such as diffuser, flat iron, and hair dryer, because they end up making the hair shaft (which is already fragile) even more dry, opaque, and brittle.

Hot water can also damage the hair, leaving it rough and porous, due to the swelling of the cuticle due to heat. The leave-in is an ally of bleached hair, since this product enhances the treatment and recovery of the strands, giving shine and increasing the resistance of the strands to daily damage.

How do you usually take care of your bleached hair?

Elaluz has just introduced it’s newest brand category: Haircare. And the debut hair product is one that Camila considers an “essential”—Dry Texture Finishing Spray. Coveted for creating effortlessly undone hair looks, a dry texture spray deserves a place on everyone’s vanity. Not only does it give your hair texture, but it boosts volume, creates definition, absorbs oil, and adds grip and hold to your strands, making it the one of the most necessary products for whatever hair look you’re creating.

Elaluz’s Dry Texture Finishing Spray is an invisible formula that’s ideal for fine hair textures or anyone looking for long-lasting dry volume and touchable texture. It contains powerful, nutrient-dense ingredients like Buriti oil, Brazilian nut oil, and aloe to prevent breakage and keep hair looking healthy and protect against UV rays. The Buriti oil promotes hair growth with a high presence of beta-carotenes, while oleic acid also adds natural sheen. The Brazilian nut oil conditions scalp naturally with high amounts of omega 6 and 9 fatty acids which promote oil production, and the aloe vera moisturizes hair while also repairing dead skin cells on the scalp. The lightweight, buildable formula helps create volume and texture without weighing hair down or leaving stiff or crunchy.

To use the Dry Texture Finishing Spray, simply shake up the formula and spray from the crown of your head to the ends. You can also flip your head upside down and spray through hair that way. Then tousle your hair with your fingers until you achieve your desired look. The dry texture spray can also double as a dry shampoo in a pinch, as it helps absorb oil —just spray through your roots and run your fingers around your scalp to hide any oil.

Another benefit of the Dry Texture Finishing Spray is that it adds grip to your strands, so it’s a great starter for any type of bun or ponytail. Spritz around the roots and crown of your head beforehand and then create the desired look, and you’ll have great hold and volume with minimal effort. This versatility is why it’s considered a hair essential by most people—it can really help you through any hair scenario. If you only bring one hair product on a trip or in your bag, make it dry texture spray.

We all know that the sun can have harmful effects on our skin, so we take the necessary precautions to protect it like wearing sunscreen and large hats when we’re outdoors. But it’s easy to forget about your hair during the carefree summer months. UV rays can make your hair brittle and prone to breakage, while also making appear frayed. It also lightens your hair color, which if you spend a lot of time and money perfecting the hue can be extremely frustrating. And it’s not just your hair that needs consideration—the skin underneath your hair is also very vulnerable to sunburn and damage from long-term exposure. Spots of skin cancer are very common along the scalp and hairline, especially if you part your hair in the same spot everyday as that particular area sees a lot of sunlight.

Obviously the thought of applying sunscreen to your entire scalp and each strand of hair seems unrealistic, but luckily there are a ton of product options that take care of this for you (without making your hair and scalp greasy). To protect the scalp, you’ll want to look for ingredients like avobenzone, zinc oxide, and titanium dioxide, which block UV rays. Antioxidants and plant-derived oils like sunflower seed oil also help protect the scalp and hair from harmful rays by blocking free radicals. Below are a few products that minimize the negative effects UV rays have on your hair and scalp, and some even help detangle and absorb excess grease as well.

Moroccanoil Protect and Prevent Spray— This lightweight formula helps protect and prevent color fading, and can also be used as a detangler post-beach.

Bumble & Bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil Heat & UV Protective Primer— Packed with grapeseed oil, sweet almond oil, and safflower oil, this heat protectant minimizes both UV and heat damage.

Supergoop! Poof 100% Mineral Part and Scalp Powder SPF 45— This powder protects your scalp around your part and soaks up excess oil at the same time, leaving your hair grease-free.

At this point in quarantine we’re all craving a trip to the hair salon for something—whether it’s a hair cut, color, or treatment. Since taking scissors or hair dye into our own hands at home is probably not the best idea, turning to hair masks and DIY treatments is our safest option. Of course there are many amazing brands that offer luxurious hair masks and oils, but you can actually make effective masks to address a variety of different hair concerns right in your kitchen using items from your refrigerator and pantry. Even those new to the DIY scene can blend two or three of these ingredients in a bowl, so if you usually shy away from creating your own products this is one area not to be afraid of as it’s quite simple.

Whether you’re looking to treat dried out and broken strands, a flakey/itchy scalp, dull color, or grease, there’s a DIY combination for you—All you’ll need are a few ingredients from your kitchen:

  1. Coconut oil
  2. Avocado
  3. Eggs
  4. Apple Cider Vinegar
  5. Honey
  6. Lemon
  7. Green Tea

Below is a breakdown of the various ways you can combine these ingredients to target specific hair issues—from dullness to dryness to damage.

How to Make Effective DIY Hair Masks Camila Coelho

For Dry Hair:

Honey (1 teaspoon) + Egg (1) + Apple Cider Vinegar (1 tablespoon)— Combine these ingredients in a bowl, apply to your hair, and leave on for 30 minutes. This masks is ultra-hydrating that nourishes hair without weighing it down or messing up your color.

For Dull Hair:

Honey + Apple Cider Vinegar + Coconut Oil—Combine equal parts of each ingredient (depending on your hair length, that could be 1 teaspoon, 1 tablespoon, or more), apply to your hair when it’s still damp, and let the mask soak in for 20 minutes. Finally, shampoo the mask out of your hair and see how glossy your hair looks.

For Flaky/Irritated Scalp:

Green Tea (1 cup) + Apple Cider Vinegar (1 tablespoon)—Mix these two in a bowl or glass and massage into your scalp. Let it sit on your hair for at least five minutes and then rinse out in the shower. The green tea’s antioxidant properties will soothe your scalp while the ACV will help remove excess oil. If your scalp is feeling particularly flaky, combine a small amount of coconut oil with sugar first for a scalp scrub that will remove excess flakes, then finish off with the green tea rinse.

For Grease:

Egg White (1 egg) + Lemon juice (half)—Combine one egg white with the juice from half a lemon to create a mask that will remove excess oil and grease from your roots and scalp. Leave the mask on for 30 minutes (or longer!) and then rinse with warm water. The protein enzymes in the egg white zap excess oil instantly.

For Damaged Hair:

Avocado (half) + Egg (1) + Coconut Oil or Olive Oil (1 tablespoon)—Combine these three in a bowl, apply to wet hair, and wrap hair up into a bun. Blow dry for 10 minutes to help activate the ingredients, then let it sit for an additional 20, and finish off by washing it out in the shower. The omega-3 fatty acids provide strength and shine, while the avocado helps moisturize the scalp.
