And two areas of the face that undergo constant change are the eyebrows and the lips. And of course, for 2023, this would be no different. Known as the “mother” of micropigmentation, specialist Renata Barcelli analyzes what will be the three main beauty trends foreseen for 2023 and tells them shortly afterwards.
Natural Effect
For this year, bushy, filled-in brows will be a thing of the past, and more natural eyebrow designs will be back in style. In addition, the techniques that provide a more realistic effect to the brows will still be on the rise during 2023. “Currently, there is a large public that opts for procedures that do not leave the region so marked and give the feeling of a lighter and more natural eyebrow. The trend is that this preference will grow even more in 2023, giving more evidence to techniques such as Nanoblading, which uses only a very fine needle to put semi-permanent pigment under the skin, approximating the appearance of real eyebrow hairs”, says the specialist.
Treatment with multifunctional products
Renata reveals that, another trend in the eyebrow sector are the multifunctional products that offer a treatment for this region. “This is a movement that we have already seen in 2022 and that promises to have even more strength in 2023. There is a great demand for products that have some other benefit, such as pigments that contain actives to improve hair growth,” she explains.
Lip Micropigmentation
The specialist also shares a super trend aimed at the lips: lip micropigmentation, which promises to gain even more strength in the market, as it will be a strong ally in facial harmonization procedures. “In 2023, lip micropigmentation will certainly be part of the most sought-after procedures. In addition to bringing color and a healthier appearance to the lips, which are the effects that consumers already expect, the technique also offers symmetry and definition, and can be another tool for facial harmonization”, she concludes.
